Our History
Cherry Laurel Garden Club in Daytona Beach, Florida Was established in March of 1948, more than seven decades ago this year. The photo below, by Margaret Callon Lyon who is a founding member, features the original Cherry Laurel members and is one of the first official commemorations of our club. Federated in February of 1951 by Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, INC., we soon be honored for our Emerald or 70th Anniversary in 2021.

We dedicate our 2019- 2020 Cherry Laurel Garden Club to our dear friend and treasured club member, Margaret Callon Lyon. We honor and celebrate Margaret- an extradentary woman, mother, citizen and community leader, Margaret, you have made such significant contributions over the years to the greater Daytona Beach area; your legacy will be everlasting.
